WWF Doggie Smack down

Tonka and Guinness have this wrestling game they play everyday where they pretty much see who can sit on who. As you can imagine Tonka has a size advantage but Guinness is pretty quick and hard to get down. The game generally starts with Guinness trying to sit on Tonka's back while Tonka is sleeping. Some biting occurs next with someone inevitably belly flopping down on the other one. Since not everyone gets to enjoy such a sight everyday I thought I would share a few pictures for all to enjoy. Hope all is well <3

Nap Time

I am a person who needs a good solid 8 - 10 hours of sleep every night to be my fun charming self and not be grumpy. The last two nights this has not occurred so I have been needing to resort to nap time, however, the world seems to be against this. Everyone seems to call or text or come over during nap time causing me to not be able to sleep. To most it may just be that you are grumpy from not getting enough sleep that is unfortunately not me though. I have an awful immune system and when I don't get my required sleep I get ill. At this very moment I can feel my lymph nodes enlarging and eyes are burning meaning only one thing is to come of all this and that is sickness. So to all of you who wake me during nap time I send you my germs and hope you think twice about calling me when I am trying to sleep!

P.S. for those of you who are not generally around me when I am sick I tend to be a bit of a drama queen and you should probably not answer your phones when I call either :)

A blog I came across....

So I found this blog devoted completely to cupcakes! This girl in Orange County goes to all the different cupcake places in the area and buys a ton of cupcakes and eats them giving her review. Here is the link so that anyone in the orange county area who wants to go and try some cupcakes knows where to go :) http://www.cupcakeactivist.blogspot.com/ I have only read a few of the posts but I love it and now I want to make cupcakes

Ashley

Poor Ashley was feeling left out so this post is devoted entirely to her. Ashley was my roommate for a year and is pretty much one of my favorite people but she abandoned me and moved back to NorCal

Wednesday afternoon....feels like a good time to blog

Yesterday was one of those days where I really got nothing accomplished unless it involved me sitting at my computer doing work so today I was bound and determined to get some chores done that have been pilling up. While I still have quite a few things that need to be done I have gone to the pet store and bought the essentials for Tonka and Guinness which include organic dog food (which is getting rather expensive due to the amount Tonka eats every day), chewies (rawhide strips that G and Tonks get every night at bedtime), some more poop bags (Tonka's poops sometime require 2), a new collar/harness for Guinness (his first collar was getting small and he ate through his last choke collar so I am trying a harness to see if that helps with his pulling because the dog doesn't seem to care that he can't breathe), 2 new toys and a traveling water bowl for when we go to the puppy park (Tonka doesn't like to drink out of the water buckets they have there). While not every trip to the puppy store involves so many purchases it does always seem to be a higher total than I would like, especially considering I am unemployed at the moment.
One thing that needs to be done that I am absolutely dreading is putting my laundry away. I have been in and out of town so much lately that each time I would unpack I would just leave everything out because I knew I would be packing again very soon. This has lead to a laundry basket overflowing with clothes and me with no desire to put them away.
Arizona is now officially an oven and will be for the next 3 months. I was out walking Tonka and Guinness the other day when G decided that he was going to go out in the street on the asphalt. Poor little man burned is toes and was crying :(. I think I may need to invest in some shoes for him or something (Tonka does not have this issue because his idea of going for a walk includes walking out the door to the grass, doing his business and walking back inside). While I know all places get hot during the summer months I don't think any of you who have never been to Arizona between the months of June to September can ever really say it is hot. The projected forecast for this summer includes temperatures in the 120's, I don't care how much humidity you may have in your state that is HOT!
I don't have any new pictures since yesterday but I feel pictures are some of the best parts of blogging so here are a few older ones with some of my favorite people (I hope I don't hurt anyones feelings but I don't have many pictures with a lot of you).

Week 2 of Summer school...

This last weekend I was able to drive back out to California for my best friends birthday and to pick up Tonka's older smaller brother, Guinness. I left after class on Friday and arrived Friday evening. My mom and I went and saw Kung Foo Panda, I highly recommend it. Saturday was Kristen's party and I took a tons of pictures.

Tonka, Guinness and I all drove back Sunday afternoon and have been hunkering down from the heat. Poor Guinness didn't listen yesterday and went out onto the asphalt in the middle of the day and burned his toes. It was very sad, he kept crying. Yesterday I went and saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall with a friend and I highly recommend it. It was very funny. Not much else is going on right now. I am helping my friend Janelle with some last minute wedding details most days and planning her bridal shower (if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I am always looking for some creative ideas).
I might be going back to work for the family I was working for before part time once I am done with summer school but I would also like to find some kind of an internship for the summer so if anyone knows of any good ones please let me know.

Summer School...

Summer School Started this week and all I can say is what was I thinking? I have taken a class every summer since I started college (with exception to the one spent in New Hampshire) and every time I swear that I will never take one again yet here I am. The worst part about this summer is the fact that I am taking summer school where I actually have to go to class 5 days a week. The last time I was enrolled in classes 5 days a week was my first semester freshman year and even then I never went all 5 days so the last time I went to school 5 days a week was high school. The only good part about this class is that when I finish it in 5 weeks I will be done with sign language and done with my foreign language requirement! One step closer to graduation although I have yet to decide if that is a good or bad thing.
Speaking of Graduation I have started redoing my resume in hopes that I will be able to get a part time internship for this coming year. I still have my schedule set up so that most of my classes are online so I have all my days free. I was originally thinking of becoming a bartender but have had mixed reviews on that so as of right now that is my fallback plan. My former boss has also asked me to come back to work part time so if I can get an internship and do that part time while going to school I think I will be set. While I have loved not working this last month I have been missing the babies a lot and while I have been spending a lot of time with Paige it just isn't the same.
I had the babies all to myself a few weekends ago. Their parents went out of town so we had a fun weekend together. We went to a baseball game and saw the Diamondbacks play. It was a very different experience from the last time we went to a game (about a year ago). Olivia wanted to walk around everywhere and at one point chucked her sippy cup down the stadium, I was so embarrassed but luckily it didn't hit anyone. They had the audacity to open the roof at the game even though it was in the high 90's at 5 pm. Olivia fell asleep about halfway through the game and slept through all the cheering going on all around us. Sophie and Mitchie did really well at the game but it was late and Soph fell asleep right at the end sitting in her seat. She was really cute just sitting there asleep. During our weekend we also made a trip to the splash park where they were able to run around and play with some other kids.

Last weekend I was also able to spend some time with my favorite little niece. She is still so tiny but I can't believe how old she is. Such a personality is developing and she is just like her mom. California is still my favorite place but I love being able to come back to my own bed in Arizona. I decided for this week to only bring Tonka out and leave Guinness at my moms house to see how Tonka did alone. Tonka had a really hard time at first he doesn't know ow to function without his "brother" with him. The first few days he would just walk around the house looking for Guinness and crying but now he is getting a little better. We went to the dog park Tuesday and he was terrified of all the other dogs but slowly he let them sniff him and didn't freak out when they came up next to him. He doesn't like when the other dogs bark though, he runs and hides like a little chicken. He is so big now that I sometimes forget that he is still only 4 months old. We will go out this weekend for Kristens birthday and bring Guinness back with us so that Tonka can get back to functioning like normal.
